Marc Altena set out on an 800-kilometer bikepacking route from Ventimiglia to Torino, right through the heart of the Italian Alps. The terrain ranged from the dry and rugged mountains in the south to the snow-capped peaks in the north, and then down to the lush green Lanzo valley in the east. This rough and demanding high Alpine route crossed an incredible variety of bewildering landscapes, exploring hidden corners and lost valleys where eagles soar and wolves roam free. Along the way, Marc created a trio of videos with a stunning compilation of footage from this scenic region. Watch them below.
