Brother x The Woods Mr.Wooden Frameset
Made in Taiwan / $920 at The Woods Cyclery
UK-based bike shop the Woods Cyclery has collaborated with Brother Cycles on a special colorway of their Mr. Wooden frameset. There are just 10 of these light blue metallic “Spring Sky” frames in existence. They have gold decals and a small “Woods Cyclery” decal printed on the inside of the chainstay under the top coat. If you’re interested in building one up, contact the Woods Cyclery.
Kyoot Teases Bolt-On Headtube Rack

Earlier this week, Kyoot Bikes in Austin, Texas, teased an upcoming product launch that we’re jazzed about. The Pizza Rack uses integrated bolt-on clamps that attach directly to the bike’s headtube, designed to work with all current and past Kyoot models. Mounting the rack to the headtube keeps the steering light and nimble, and there are additional mounting points for cages or other bolt-on accessories. You can see how quickly you can remove the front rack in their reel. The Pizza Rack is coming in November; stay tuned for more.
The Cotic Cascade Gen 2 Now Fully Released
Made in Czech Republic / $3,250 at Cotic Bikes
Released in small numbers last year, the updated version of Cotic’s versatile rigid ATB is now available in much greater stock. Though we covered the frame changes when it launched last year, the Cascade is now in full, official production in the Czech Republic. This release features the same updates as last year but with a Gloss Forest colorway.
Texada Ridge Runner Zines
Made in Canada / FREE at Boomtown Bike Shop
As part of this year’s Slow Coast community bikepacking event/fundraiser, organizer Emily Heron worked with Jessica Brousseau of Feast Studios on a run of zines for the Texada Ridge Runner route on British Columbia’s Sunshine Coast. The zines have an awesome illustrated map, information about the island, and a scavenger hunt for things you might see along the way. Stop by Boomtown Bike Shop in Powell River to pick yours up.
SimWorks Fillet Stems are Back
Made in Japan / $240 at SimWorks
SimWorks’ fillet-brazed stems, the Anna Lee and Caroline, are back in stock. The brand hasn’t had any available for a few years because of the craftsmanship needed to make these from their partners at Nitto. Now, both the taller-stack and regular options are back for a limited time in a variety of lengths and black and polished silver finishes.

William K. from Washington asked if we could help identify a rack that has no logos or markings. It looks incredibly familiar, but we can’t quite place it. Hardcore Bikepacking on 40-year-old 26er?!
Andrew, aka Slow Bike King, recently got out on a bikepacking trip in San Diego County around Cuyamaca Rancho SP and Cleveland National Forest with his two buddies, Alex and Diego. Was it a good idea for Andrew to ride a 40-year-old mountain bike with a 7-speed freewheel and rim brakes on a rugged bikepacking trip? Watch the video to find out.
Stephen Tests Rodeo Labs 32-inch Prototype
Rodeo Labs owner Stephen Fitzgerald and friend David recently tackled an ambitious mixed-surface ride across Colorado. They planned to connect two of the state’s four corners diagonally. The duo started at the northeast corner of Colorado at about 5 a.m. on Thursday and touched the monument at the finish in Four Corners at 10:30 a.m. on Monday. In total, they traveled 688 miles with 44,362 feet of climbing. Stephen rode a Denver-made 32-inch prototype bike to get a feel for the 32-inch platform, and you can expect to hear more from him soon. Stay tuned!
Bikepacking Slovenia’s West Loop
In Cam Hubert’s latest video, he takes on our Slovenia West Loop bikepacking route, a truly spectacular 265-mile track created by Joe Cruz. It paints a helpful picture of what a seven-day ride on the route looks like. Watch the nicely shot and edited 35-minute above. Thanks for the shout-out, Cam!
Kyle’s Esker Lorax Bike Check
Earlier this week, Esker Cycles shared an employee bike check featuring warehouse manager Kyle and his titanium Lorax. The two-and-a-half minute video offers a quick overview of his no-nonsense build that looks comfortable and fun for ripping around Minneapolis’ many dirt trails. Watch it above.
Sofiane’s 2026 SRMR Set-Up
This year, Sofiane Sehili finished his fourth Silk Road Mountain Race, a monumental achievement in itself. He finished in ninth place overall, riding a Bombtrack Cale Hardtail with a minimal Miss Grape bag setup. His latest video walks through his setup and his thoughts on what worked in Kyrgyzstan and what didn’t.
PETER’S 29er HOUND BUILD: SPACE ICE CREAM
One of Horse Cycles’ latest builds is a stunning Hound hardtail with a flashy “Space Ice Cream” colorway. From Horse Cycles: “Peter came to me looking for a do anything Progressive mountain bike for East Coast riding. From trail riding to flowy berms to punch park. The Klunkpackers Ep. 3: The Klickitat Klunk
In the third episode of The Klunkpackers, four friends head to the Columbia River Gorge for an overnighter along the Klickitat Trail. The 45-mile loop starts just east of Hood River, in the town of Lyle, Washington, and follows the Klickitat River and Swale Creek up into the hills above the mighty Columbia River. The weather was perfect, the views were gorgeous, and the only obstacle was a late night at The Hive.

The Adirondack Trail Ride
The Adirondack Trail Ride is a 585+ mile, solo, self-supported bikepacking adventure through New York State’s Adirondack Mountains. It is a loop through a beautiful, diverse eastern wilderness on trail, pavement, and dirt roads. Riders pass through small towns, cycle past lakes dotted with quintessential “camps,” take on quiet backroads, and pass nary another person. This year’s grand depart started this morning at 8 a.m. local time. Follow the riders live here.
The Snallygaster 200
This tough but stunning 200-mile route features nearly 23,000 feet of climbing on primarily gravel and dirt roads while traversing parts of the Monongahela National Forest and four state parks in Maryland. The route begins and finishes in the picturesque small town of Oakland, MD, once voted the best small town in the U.S. This year’s Snallygaster 200 grand depart starts tomorrow morning. Endless Mountains
The Endless Mountains bikepacking routes are 115-, 250-, and 430-mile, multi-surface masterpieces made up of rural dirt and gravel roads, rail trails, paved roads through small historic downtowns, and ascents over scenic rolling hills. Lucas Winzenburg: SLoToJa
I’ve loved exploring our fully overhauled global routes map, which has helped me rediscover some gems in the archive. One such route is Oliver Hulme’s SLoToJa, a 253-mile dirt track between Logan, Utah, and Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Despite living fairly close, it’s a corner of the country I have yet to spend any time in, and the beautiful photos in his guide have me itching to get out there for a fall tour.
