Basajaun is an 800km self-supported bike packing adventure in North of Spain connecting wild forests with desertic areas.

Basajaun, the lord of the forest, is a mythological guardian of the most virgin and remote forests. Protector of the flocks. Share history with other mythological characters from other cultures such as ogres, trolls, and yetis.

This figure becomes current nowadays thanks to the respect and awareness that this cycling race wants to show. How fragile the natural environment is, and how human action can lead to desertification.

Through the forests, as well as various remote areas along the route, both aspects can be appreciated along the track. The immensity and grandeur of the forests as well as the action of desertification a few kilometers from these large forest masses.

Next to the Pyrenees Basajaun has its own hallmark, and the Basque character and culture, bordering this territory of Basajaun made this race unique.
