Work is well underway on another hefty issue of The Bikepacking Journal, and this one’s bursting with an engrossing collection of stories, essays, art, and photos. You can receive it in your mailbox—anywhere in the world—by joining the Bikepacking Collective. We’re the longest-standing reader-supported website in the bike space, and BIKEPACKING.com wouldn’t exist without our members. If you’re a site reader and haven’t signed up to make our work possible, there’s still time! Join before 11:59 p.m. EDT next Wednesday, April 17th, and you’ll receive the upcoming 12th issue and a bunch of other great benefits outlined below.
Coming up in our 12th issue’s 160 vibrant pages, we join another gifted group of writers, photographers, and artists on their bikepacking journeys through some of the most spectacular places on the planet. With features from the iconic Alps, the alluring Andes, the unforgiving terrain of Death Valley, the charming French countryside, the fascinating backroads of Cuba, and many other destinations you’ll have to read about and see for yourself, there’s a little something for everyone inside. As always, we’re eagerly awaiting the opportunity to share the year’s most immersive and inspiring pieces in print.
Fairlight Faran 2.5 Giveaway
We’re thrilled to share our grand prize Collective Reward giveway for this round of prizes, made possible by the small team at Fairlight Cycles in the UK. We’ll be randomly choosing one member of the Bikepacking Collective to receive a Fairlight Faran 2.5 frameset in their choice of color (Midnight Blue, Moss, or Winter Bracken), plus a Hope headset and seat clamp and a one-of-a-kind set of custom laser-engraved dropout plates. All total, that’s a roughly $1,400 value for our winner. Plus, as a bonus, our winner will also receive a set of laser-engraved goodies from Bentley Components in the UK that includes a top cap, bar-end plugs, and two mini bottle openers.
Only in Print
We’re passionate about creating something tangible that you can hold in your hands and savor with your morning coffee, and the complete collection of stories featured in The Bikepacking Journal is only available in print. No expenses are spared in its production, and we’re committed to making it feel like something special that’s worth the wait when it arrives two times each year.
