The folks behind LaitEau Films set out to ride our Ardèche-Cévennes Divide route in France this past June. They captured some stunning footage of the landscapes along the way and later put together a short film documenting their ride. Watch it here…

The Ardèche-Cévennes Divide is a 330-kilometer bikepacking route developed by Olivier Latouille and published here on the site in 2018. The route winds through the rolling hills and high plateaus of Monts d’Ardèche and Cévennes National Park, passing through stunning chestnut forests and picturesque towns. It follows the invisible line of the watershed, tracing part of the Grande Traversée des Monts d’Ardèche mountain bike trail before connecting to the breathtaking landscapes near Mont Lozère. The journey concludes with a descent into Alès via the remote and lesser-known Luech High Valley, offering an unforgettable experience of these hidden gems.

The folks from LaitEau Films rode a version of the route starting from Alès, then going up the Cévennes to follow the Grande Traversée de l’Ardèche (GTA) and down to Valence. Along the way, they made this stunning video capturing the route and the landscapes through which it travels. Watch below.
