Our 171st Collective Reward giveaway comes from 45NRTH in Minnesota, who’ll be setting up one randomly selected winner with a pair of their weather-resistant Ragnarok BOA boots, which they just redesigned for 2024. Find details here…
Made to excel during shoulder season rides when the weather is tricky to predict, the newly redesigned 45NRTH Ragnarök BOA boots block the cold and wet typically associated with late autumn and early spring rides. Following our in-depth review of them from last week (find it linked below), one randomly selected member of the Bikepacking Collective will receive a pair in their choice of size and color. That’s a $215 value for our lucky winner.
The updated Ragnaroks are rated to be comfortable in temperatures down to 25ºF (-4ºC) thanks to their waterproof-breathable membrane and Neoprene ankle cuff that keep moisture out. They feature a BOA dial that offers a micro-adjustable fit, a durable rubber outsole with added grip for walking and scrambling in all conditions, and a two-bolt cleat mount. Cleat plates are also available for folks who prefer to ride on flat pedals. Based on his real-world testing in the wet and chilly Pacific Northwest, Miles was impressed by how well they withstood light rain and mud without running the risk of overheating when the sun came out.
Built from a mix of PU microfiber, synthetic rubber, and polyester mesh, 45NRTH’s new Ragnarok BOAs weigh in at 1,280 grams/pair in size 45 are available in whole sizes from 36 to 48 (and 50). They’re offered in black or grey. You can find additional details and order a pair over at 45NRTH.com.
