The Revelate Designs Nano Panniers have a 7-11L volume and weigh just 255 grams each, and their unique four-point compression system is unlike anything we’ve seen. They took a top spot in our 2023 Gear of the Year Awards, and we’re excited to give away a set with their matching Panniers Pods for our 175th Collective Reward. Find details here…

Collective Reward #175 comes from the fine folks at Revelate Designs in Anchorage, Alaska. One lucky member of the Bikepacking Collective will take home a set of Nano Panniers and matching Pannier Pods, which set a new standard for ultralight panniers that don’t sacrifice stability on rough terrain.

Revelate Designs Nano Panniers Review

The $250 Revelate Designs Nano Panniers caused quite the splash when they were released last spring. At just 255 grams per bag, they’re some of the lightest panniers out there but don’t skimp on features that also make them some of the most stable panniers we’ve used for rough gravel and singletrack. They attach to your rack using two velcro straps with aluminum loops and a simple Voile Nano strap at the bottom of the bag, utilize a simple roll-top closure, and although they aren’t waterproof, proved to be reasonably weather-resistant during Miles’ 2,000-kilometer dirt tour around Australia last year.

What really sets the Nano Panniers apart from other lightweight options is their unique four-point compression system that’s designed to hug the bag and its contents tightly against the rack. In the middle is a floating plastic-coated fiberglass strut with four adjustable webbing straps extending from each side and wrapping around the pannier. Revelate Designs is also including a matching set of Pannier Pods worth $45/each that are made from Dyneema Composite and help organize smaller items like food and clothing.
