Just announced, Industry Nine has officially acquired We Are One Composites in Canada, combining We Are One’s cutting-edge carbon fiber craftsmanship with Industry Nine’s precision machining and engineering expertise. Learn more about the merger here…
Announced earlier this morning, North Carolina-based component manufacturer Industry Nine has officially merged with We Are One Composites, a Canadian company specialized in made-in-house carbon rims (and, at one point, even bikes). The two brands have been collaborating for years, so the merger isn’t entirely unexpected, but they say the acquisition “further unites Industry Nine’s precision machining and engineering expertise with We Are One’s carbon fiber craftsmanship, all built on a shared commitment to manufacturing high-quality North American products.”

Both companies will continue to operate as per usual, in a parallel fashion, with no business disruptions. Collaborations will continue on a deeper level, with the intent of fully servicing under the Industry Nine moniker in the months ahead, while offering a clear distinction of co-branded products with We Are One. Both operations, including We Are One’s shop in Kamloops, British Columbia, will remain operational.
As the sole Canadian editor on the team, I have mixed feelings about the news. I have a soft spot for We Are One and their commitment to Canadian-made components. Their carbon wheels are some of the best in the business and also happen to be competitively priced. I’m curious to see what the merger will mean in the long term for both brands and their products.
