When shopping for an all-in-one canister stove, finding the right balance of packability, weight, and simmer control can feel impossible. It seems most canister stoves tend to be on or off with not much in between. According to Jetboil, their new TrailCook stove lineup aims to improve on this with improved flame control that’s perfect for “simmering, sauteing, and stir-frying delicious meals wherever you are.” We’ll have to wait to try it for ourselves, but the idea seems promising.
The TrailCook system is available in two sizes: TrailCook 1.2L and TrailCook 2.0L. Both stove systems deliver precise simmer control, fast ignition, and incremental heat adjustment thanks to an advanced regulator valve. The ignitor is now integrated directly into the valve control for easier, more reliable lighting. Plus, each TrailCook stove comes equipped with a ceramic-coated cook pot and Jetboil’s FluxRing technology for easy cleaning and maximum fuel efficiency.
The TrailCook 1.2L Stove System is the ideal system for individuals seeking a compact, efficient setup. At 550 grams (19.4 oz), this stove offers a 1.2-liter capacity and reaches a boil in 2 minutes and 15 seconds. For groups of 2-4 people, the TrailCook 2.0L Stove System features a larger, Dutch-oven–style cook pot built for shared dishes, with two folding handles to make handling even easier. The 2L model weighs just grams (22.2 oz) with a capacity of 2 liters, and boils a liter of water in 4 minutes and 15 seconds.
