Our friend Mark Watson was on Radio New Zealand this morning to share stories from his recent four-year ride across the Americas, during which he linked together several of our routes and scouted new ones. Find photos and a link to listen to the full 27-minute interview here…
Our friend and regular contributor Mark Watson, who recently wrapped up a four-year, 46,000-kilometer bikepacking trip through the Americas (our Bikepacking Collective members can soon read a retrospective in the sixth issue of The Bikepacking Journal), shared some stories from his journey on Radio New Zealand’s “Nine to Noon” program earlier today.

In the engaging 27-minute interview, Mark gets into some of the highlights and low points he and his partner Hana Black experienced along the way, thoughts on what’s special about bicycle travel, the backstory of how the pair found themselves in a position to spend four years on the road, and more.
You can listen to the full conversation on Radio New Zealand.
