Just announced, the new steel Otso Warakin offers a lot of versatility with adjustable geometry, clearance for big tires, loads of gear-mounting points, three color options, and six sizes. Find the details here…

The Warakin is Otso’s all-road bike designed for everything from multi-surface rides to overnighters, gravel races, and commuting. It features adjustable geometry, several mounts for cargo and fenders, clearance for 50mm tires, suspension-corrected geometry, and can be built with gears or as a singlespeed. To complement their stainless and titanium versions, the brand just released the new steel Otso Warakin with the same features at a lower price point. Read on for details.

The steel Otso Warakin frame is made from custom-butted 4130 chromoly tubing and paired with the same Lithic Hiili carbon fork used in other Otso models. According to Otso, the frame accommodates multiple tire sizes: 700c x 50mm, 650b x 50mm, and 700c x 35mm with fenders. However, based on our testing of the stainless and Ti models, it should clear most 29 x 2.1″ tires.

Other frame features include the Tuning Chip rear dropout system, allowing adjustments to the wheelbase, bottom bracket height, and head tube angle. This system enables customization for greater stability or more agile handling. The Warakin is also compatible with the Single Speed Tuning Chip, enabling it to be set up as a singlespeed without a chain tensioner. The Warakin frame also has bottle bosses on the seat tube, triple mounts on the down tube and fork, and compatibility with rear racks and fenders. Externally routed cables make it easy to set up or change.

Sizes 52, 54, 56, 58, and 60cm of the new steel Otso Warakin share the same geometry as the Warakin Stainless and Warakin Ti models, with a head tube angle of 71.5°, a seat tube angle of 73°, a reach of 383mm, and a stack of 596mm for the 56cm frame. The carbon, paint-matched fork has an axle-to-crown of 420mm, allowing the option of a gravel suspension fork. There is also a new 49cm frame designed for shorter riders using 650b wheels to reduce toe overlap.
