Kicking off another week, we once again look back at some of the sights folks from our community saw during their recent time away in today’s Weekend Snapshot. This time around, our submissions take us to the mountains of Brazil, the United States, and Switzerland. Take a peek at this week’s photos below, then continue scrolling to find some related posts from the archive and a quick form you can use to share a shot from a recent ride.
Switzerland

We were staying over night at the alpine hut Capanna Bovarina with some nice food and great company. We had to climb to the hut along small side roads and doubletracks from the Blenio Valley. Our goal for the next day was pushing and carrying our bikes the next morning to reach the Passo di Gana Negra with some nice switchbacks and downhill singletrack. After this, we first climbed the Passo de Uomo to reach the Passo del Sole were we had almost 10 kilometers of singletrack back down to reach our start.
Telluride, Colorado

A below average film scan of an above average camp spot outside of beautiful Telluride, Colorado. An intense overnight thunderstorm kept us on the edge of our sleeping pads, but getting to witness the clear sunset and sunrise from this vantage point was well worth it.
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

I’m currently scouting a bikepacking route inspired by Brazil’s Caminho da Mata Atlântica. After camping at more than 1,700 meters of altitude in the aptly named Vale dos Deuses, I biked down the mountains. Looking behind me, I couldn’t help but smile as I admired the three peaks next to which I had slept. And I finally understood the name of the park I had biked through: Três Picos State Park.
