Today’s Weekend Snapshot highlights a dizzying blend of scenes submitted by a few of our readers around the world. Find a look at their rides around Spain, Australia, and New Jersey here, and if you haven’t done so already, we invite you to share a photo from one of your recent getaways…
Continuing a new year of reader-submitted Weekend Snapshots, this week, we join folks on three continents to scout out a stunning mix of tracks around the world. See what three people from our global community got up to in their recent time off below, followed by some related posts from the archive and a short form you can use to upload a scene from one of your rides. If you haven’t contributed yet, how about making 2025 the year you share a Weekend Snapshot?
Spain
By Carina Berlingeri and Stefan Rohner
Almeria and Cabo de Gata are names that make me think about dusty roads, dry air, and beautiful arid Spaghetti Western landscapes. We arrived in the evening at an old cortijo close to the seaside. The next morning, we rode through the natural Cabo de Gata park with wind, sun, empty beaches, and amazing sea food at local restaurants. Great riding on beautiful gravel roads.
New Jersey

Jersey, baby!
Victoria, Australia

A wonderful overnighter through the Otways following dirt tracks around the Great Ocean Road. We made our route up as we went along and had fish and chips in Anglesea and a beer by the ocean. Not even the heat and the determined mosquitoes could dampen our spirits! It was extra special as it was my cousin Bridget’s first bikepacking trip, but it certainly won’t be the last.
Send Us Your Weekend Snapshot
We’ll be selecting three photos per week to feature in Weekend Snapshot. Send yours along for consideration, and if it’s selected, we’ll be in touch! Note: We prefer 3:2 ratio landscape-oriented photos.
