After 1,800 meters of climbing, a challenging overnighter in Oaxaca’s Sierra Norte took us to the base of La Cruz de la Peña Boluda, where we made camp. The next morning, we went on a pre-dawn coffee outside hike, where we were greeted by a spectacular view of a rare cloud inversion covering the Oaxaca Valley. Magnifico!

Utah

Weekend Snapshot

By Neil Beltchenko

Over the last decade, I’ve made a lot of trips to Moab to escape the cooler weather in the Colorado mountains. And even after all those years, riding through those canyons and massive sandstone walls still stops me in my tracks. The scale of it all never gets old, and I’m always grateful to move through that landscape by bike. That’s exactly what three friends and I did on a recent ride on the Peaks and Plateaus loop in eastern Utah.
