Hochsteiermark, Austria
By Fabian Dankl (@radneuland)
Probably our seventh attempt to create the perfect overnighter for city dwellers from Graz and Vienna. This time, we found this great swim spot. It’s just a stone’s throw away from the one and only “Wuchtlwirtin,” where you’ll find the biggest and best wuchteln (an Austrian pastry) for miles around. If we succeed, we’ll submit the route here on BIKEPACKING.com!
West Coast, Sweden
By Jason Brudvik
Our family recently finished a 10-day biking and camping trip along the west coast of Sweden, riding just over 300 kilometers. We rode along parts of the long-distance cycle routes named Sydkustleden and Kattegattleden. I highly recommend these routes as they’re easy to follow, there are plenty of camping spots along them, lots of beaches, and the occasional castle. In the photo is my favorite camping shelter that we came across, in a small forest near the coast, just north of Helsingborg.
Brandenburg, Germany
By Joshua Meissner (@joshm.de)
Returning home after months on the road, I know no better way to truly arrive than riding out to camp with friends. Last weekend, we made the pilgrimage into the lush wetlands of Havelland with absolutely no agenda. We napped, we swam, we laughed, we cooked. Call it being post-cycling. Thank you.
Send Us Your Weekend Snapshot
We’ll be selecting three photos per week to feature in Weekend Snapshot. Send yours along for consideration, and if it’s selected, we’ll be in touch! Note: We prefer 3:2 ratio landscape-oriented photos.
