Ushuaia, Patagonia, Argentina

Nothing really special or adventurous in this photo, just the pleasure of reaching this sign after crossing the continent from the top of Alaska, two years and eight months later. Arriving at the end of South America was a pretty special feeling.
South Carolina
By Tanner Arrington
While I was technically car camping with my bike, I was out in the South Carolina Sandhills scouting some final adjustments to a forthcoming overnight route. This pond-side campsite with a shelter and fireplace is on the route; it’s a great place to spend a winter night.
New Zealand
By Tom Powell
The Hakataramea Loop felt like a proper Canterbury weekend, with steady headwinds every day, wide gravel roads, and passing five of the biggest lakes in the south of New Zealand. The wind rarely let up, which meant settling into a rhythm and accepting the pace for what it was. Water took a bit more thought than usual, too. Riding through dairy country meant scanning the map for creeks and filtering where possible, never quite sure how reliable the next source would be. Things changed once the route dropped into the Hakataramea Valley and the surrounding nature reserves. It grew quieter and more remote, the kind of riding where the only real noise is your tyres on gravel. Linking into the Alps 2 Ocean felt almost civilised after that, smoother surfaces, plentiful cafe stops, and clearer lines with Aoraki (Mount Cook) sitting out on the horizon and the string of lakes stretching south.
